At Barney’s Sweet Shop, giving back isn’t simply something we do—it’s baked into who we are.
As The Snack That Gives Back™️, our mission is to Make Life Sweeter™️ by creating meaningful employment and career opportunities for people with disabilities. Every batch we make, every bag we sell, and every person we employ is part of our commitment to building a community where everyone has the opportunity to contribute, belong, and thrive.
As a small, woman-owned business, we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a generous community. We receive many requests each year to support wonderful organizations, schools, events, fundraisers, and causes. While we wish we could say yes to every request, doing so simply isn’t possible for a business of our size.
To make sure our giving remains sustainable and closely connected to our mission, Barney’s Sweet Shop considers in-kind donation requests from nonprofit organizations whose work directly supports, serves, includes, or creates opportunities for people with disabilities.
Our Donation Guidelines
Donation requests will be considered when:

• The requesting organization is a nonprofit organization.
• The organization or program demonstrates a meaningful commitment to disability inclusion, empowerment, accessibility, employment, education, advocacy, or support.
• The request is for an in-kind donation of Barney’s Sweet Shop products, rather than a monetary contribution or sponsorship.
• The request is submitted with sufficient advance notice for our team to review and fulfill it.

Because we are a small business, the number and size of donations we can provide are limited. Meeting these guidelines does not guarantee that we will be able to fulfill every request, but each eligible request will be thoughtfully considered based on our available resources.
A Sweet Way to Support Other Causes
We know there are countless organizations doing incredible work in our community, even when their missions fall outside the focus of our charitable giving.
For those organizations, we would still love the opportunity to partner with you through our nonprofit fundraising program, which provides organizations with a way to raise funds through the sale of Barney’s Sweet Shop products while also supporting meaningful employment for people with disabilities.
